I’m Paul Cerak, founder of Altius Transportation Compliance LLC, a transportation compliance consulting firm serving trucking companies and businesses operating commercial motor vehicles throughout New Jersey and the surrounding area.

After more than 22 years in public safety, including a distinguished career with the New Jersey State Police, I built my career around commercial motor vehicle safety, regulatory compliance, and enforcement. For more than 18 years, I have worked directly with the federal regulations that govern the commercial motor carrier industry—conducting inspections, educating drivers and carriers, and helping identify safety and compliance issues before they become costly problems.

As a certified Commercial Vehicle Inspector, I have conducted more than 6,500 commercial motor vehicle inspections and have earned certifications in:

  • NASI Parts A & B

  • General Hazardous Materials

  • Cargo Tank

  • Other Bulk Packages

  • Advanced Hazardous Materials Roadside Inspections

  • Passenger Vehicles

I have also conducted numerous Safety and Compliance talks for carriers and their drivers, giving me a firsthand understanding of the challenges transportation companies face every day.

More Than Regulations—Real-World Experience

Compliance isn't just about knowing what the regulations say. It's about understanding how those regulations are applied in the real world.

My experience comes from years spent on the roadside, inspecting commercial vehicles and drivers and enforcing federal safety regulations. That perspective allows me to look at compliance from both sides of the equation: understanding what regulators expect while recognizing the practical realities that trucking companies and drivers face.

At Altius Transportation Compliance LLC, my goal is straightforward: help companies operate safer, stay compliant, and keep their drivers moving.

I believe effective compliance should be practical, understandable, and built around improving safety—not simply checking boxes.
